Meet Our SRDRS Intern

Beth Fowler is a public health professional with the Southern Regional Disaster Response System (SRDRS), where she supports disaster telemedicine research and technical model development across HHS Region IV. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, building on her background in biochemistry, infectious disease, and laboratory research. Before joining SRDRS, Beth worked in an Emory BSL2+/BSL3 microbiology lab, gaining experience in pathogen handling, molecular assays, and biosafety operations. She first joined SRDRS as an intern and completed her practicum with the team, later expanding her work to support Disaster Virtual Care initiatives and cross-state coordination efforts that strengthen disaster healthcare readiness across the Southeast.
